I've done it with my wrecked 2003 TDI into a nice 2003 1.8 Jetta chassis. Mostly just an engine swap other than some A/C and power steering lines. ECU and cluster swap and the two engine bay harnesses and fabricate a panel for powering the GP/109 relay. Exhaust and fuel pickup. I have yet to remove the gasser fuel filter under the tank.
The way I understand it on the DQ250 is that it is limited to 400Nm electronically. I don't believe the actual transmission will be harmed - it just limits torque to that number. Hence with a DSG tune that limit can be raised (or essentially switched off). I believe the DQ250 is a pretty hardy unit and can handle more torque easily.
Diesel units include a fairly dismal (and now discontinued) 1.6 TDI and a more likeable 2.0 TDI. The interior is spacious, with a bigger boot than you'll find in a Volkswagen Golf. There's more room for rear-seat passengers than in a SEAT Arona, too, although the bigger Volkswagen Tiguan is a more versatile family SUV. Tech updates in 2022 mean
