Trackpad not working on Ideapad Flex 5 - Ubuntu 23.04. I recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5. I instantly removed Windows 11 Home and installed Ubuntu 23.04. Only problem: the trackpad isn't working. Ubuntu doesn't even recognize the trackpad, as you can see from the lsusb output below: Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3
The correct touchpad drivers should be installed in order to provide the advanced functions of the touchpad. If generic mouse / touchpad drivers are installed or an incorrect touchpad driver is installed, some features may not be available, and the touchpad may function erratically. Go to Lenovo's support site and download the Touchpad driver

Mine is Lenovo G510 Laptop. I did tried to follow above answers but my external mouse was also not working to set the options. So, I opened Mouse Controls and Checked and Unchecked the Left handed mouse option. Restarted the laptop and it started working. P.S. My Keyboard is working.

I have the 14 inch Ideapad 5 14ARE05. My touchpad is randomly working or not, but its behavior is always the same in one session. If it does not work I am getting strange i2c_designware controller timed out messages. Can anyone confirm the behavior and/or suggest a solution? . 596 690 165 121 901 19 869 738
