SUMMARY The application does not work.When I turn on KDE connect it does not show up in the taskbar. When I try to connect it in the upper part of the screen it shows me if I want to pair the phone. KDE connect and hotspot are not working. I have installed KDE Connect on my Android device and Linux box. But they don´t find each other. I can ping my smartphone from the Linux box, they´re connected to the same wifi network. 1.
In my Xfce settings → Session and Startup → Advanced configuration, I have both "Launch GNOME services on startup" and "Launch KDE services on startup" checked. Konsole launches and runs for me fine, so I know I can run KDE applications.
You probably restored KDEConnect in your phone through backup and it's sending a conflicting device id. To solve this, go to the app information tab in the android settings, and clear its saved data and cache. Pair again and it won't get unpaired anymore. [deleted] • 5 yr. ago.
