One of my favorite wide-aperture 35mm lenses is the Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM Lens and this lens is a worthy competitor to the Sigma 40 Art lens. In the image quality comparison at f/1.4, the Canon is a bit sharper in the center of the frame and the Sigma is a bit sharper in the periphery.
