There's very little chance the price go down by even 10g/400gems before months and rely exclusively on the fact the nexts blc are interesting or not. The metric I always check is in game, the price of 1200 gems. Idk why, it is just the price I have always checked. It was pretty normal last year and the year before to get 1200 gems for 315-350 gold.
